Happy, happy Monday everyone! Did you have a wonderful weekend? I sure hope so! A good weekend always makes the next week even better! I had a great weekend, super busy but I got quite a few things done. I am grateful for that!
I have so much to share with you! I have to be totally honest, I was questioning if this whole blogging thing was working for me. It takes time and effort and I must really struggle with feelings of confidence. My fear is the same thing over and over….. that I have nothing to offer. That I am no way any more special or important than joe shmo off the street. I struggle with that, I think Satan really knows how to make me feel inadequate! So I decided to write down what I would blog about, what things I want to share! I would love some input back. I have had a few people ask me to share how I maintain a happy, positive attitude even when life is hard, others have asked about recipes and crafts and others have asked about dates, how we do things with such a large family and keep some controlled chaos. I took those questions and started making a list of things I would love to share pertaining to those questions. I do have things to share! I would love to share a lot, not that it is always the best but that it is what works for us and also share what has not worked for us.
I need to tell my fears to take a hike! I need to know that each blog post may not be the most fabulous thing and perfect but neither am I . I am hoping that is what draws you to the blog, the idea that as flawed as we all, as I am, that we find a connection somehow some way. That you are uplifted, and encouraged and happier. I am going to just run with it and not worry. Run and not give up! Lets see where this journey takes us shall we?
Okay, so enough of that! TOMORROW is APRIL FOOLS!! I love April fools! I think it is fun and can be very sweet! I am sharing you a part one and part two post. Today is part one, Tomorrow morning is part two. To make this work, I will actually be serving my family April fools dinner tonight! So I can share all the pictures tomorrow. I want to give you a heads up of what you will need in case you want to copy dinner for your family!
First off I made April fools Juice, it is really Jello in a water goblet with a straw. The kids love it and it is tradition in our house every year! We have our niece staying with us and Mikes parents so they won’t know it is jello! It is going to be great!
All you do is get some Jell-O, I used raspberry and three boxes, we had to make seven drinks. Prepare the jell-o as on the box and pour into glasses, add a straw and throw it in the fridge to set. That is it! Super easy!
I am going to share my Meatloaf Cupcakes and Rice krispie Meatloaf tomorrow morning! SO look for it and you can make it for dinner!
Here is what you will need!
I will be using my meatloaf recipe found HERE. I shared this about a week ago.
Instant mashed potatoes ( I KNOW INSTANT!!, but they are easiest and I always make mash potatoes with peels, I am not peeling seven pounds of potatoes, no thanks!)
Food coloring I will be using pink
Chocolate Rice krispies,
butter
marshmallows
dried pineapple and craisens
ARE YOU EXCITED!! I am! Okay so check back tomorrow morning for the how to and get your ingredients tonight! I can not wait to share!! What are your favorite April fools jokes? Share!!
I am off to cook dinner for my cute sister Katy! She had her baby! I will share pictures soon!

I love your blog, honestly! I look forward to what you post everyday! I like knowing how you keep calm with such a busy family, what your favorite recipes are and what kinds of activities you do with the kids, things along those lines. Although I only have two kids ( :( sad face for no more), I like seeing your ideas for things to do with and for your kids :) I actually have copied some of your recipes and are excited to try them along with your chore chart!!!
Don’t give up on the blog, I like it :)
