Happy Tuesday!  The kids are home another day!  It is still beyond cold!  I think today it is -35! So we are going to have another fun filled day!  It always sounds better than it is! Ha! Ha!  The kids still argue at times, they get bored, but it all depends on your attitude and how you handle it~  SO today will be great!

I wanted to share an easy and delicious recipe for croutons.  We had peasant bread for dinner the other night and I was left with an extra loaf.  We don’t want that to get wasted now do we! Croutons are a great way to use up extra peasant bread.  You can make them and freeze them or keep them in an airtight container for up to five days.

Are you excited??  I am!

pesant bread

Take your loaf of peasant bread. If you remember we made peasant bread a few weeks ago, find the recipe here!

peasant bread

Cube it, try to keep them about the same size.  You can make small or large, I like a larger crouton. You can do it however you like!

crouton

Grab your three ingredients!  That is right!  Just three!!

crouton

In  a bowl, mix together, 1/4 cup olive oil, 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning, and 1/2 Tbsp Garlic salt.  Mix it well to combine.

Get your hands in there and mix it up. Mix until all coated.  It smells so good!

crouton

Place in a single layer on a baking sheet, cook at 350 degrees for about 15 min, or until golden brown.

SOOOOOO GOOD!!!  Don’t those look fabulous!!!

I seriously could lick the computer!  They are just right, flavorful, crunchy and it was easy!

Throw some on a salad, grab some berry lemonade and you have a super easy and so delicious  meal!  I hope you get a chance to try them!  Have a super day!  I will be back tomorrow…. hope you will too!  Keep warm!  Send warm thoughts to me!

HUGE hugs,

Lara
