Happy Thursday! We are going on day five I think, of dreary, rainy days…. I think I have worn comfy clothes everyday unless I have to go somewhere, and I will admit the other day at the Battle of the Books, I had on yoga pants, and a nice shirt and nice shoes… no one looks really at the style of pants and hey I was comfy! It is almost time to break out some bigger pants!
I wanted to share our crazy and so fun day on Tuesday! All the kids had dentist appointments, Mikey had a banquet for his Battle of the Books, and I had a lunch date with my mom at Sams club for pizza!
Charli had a blast, she brought a few barbies and a shark! Who doesn’t need a shark with your barbies!
Emma and Tucker read, they made Cartoons, they were great and yes that is a winter coat and yes it is APRIL 29th in this picture!
Heston and I played Garbage, a fun card game… he beat me repeatedly!
Marsha was great! Happy and sweet!
AND then this happened! Charli and Heston decided to dance! I did take a picture and then told them it was time to sit down! It was sweet that they wanted to dance, however the dentist office really not the place:) They each had two cavities! All of them are on the back teeth so we need to work on brushing farther! Next week, follow up appointment!
Off to sams club for pizza and fun times with Grandma and Grandpa!

Emma and Alex(joanis boy) and Mikey…. Poor Mikeys face! He had a filling done that day and his mouth was numb for hours! hahahaha!
This is now one of my most favorite pictures! Charli saw they had frozen on the tvs and my sweet dad let her go over there, put her up on the bags and watched with her for a good half an hour. He is so sweet, so kind and I love how she is leaning on him…..
I had to get a smiling one too!!
Later that evening it was off the the battle of the books banquet, it was more of a picnic at your chair but still lots of fun! I thought they were going to acknowledge all the kids, but it was only the top three schools, we were not in the top three so it was more, to support the winners and eat! The kids were thrilled with all you can eat hot dogs pasta and BAGGED chips!! Along with all the bottled soda! They could have stayed there all night! BAGGED CHIPS AND BOTTLED SODA! My dad and Mikes parents all came to support, it was so nice! My dad helped me take the three little girls through the banquet line, he had Three plates and four sodas at once. Even the server was like ” wow! ” I just replied I know… he is amazing!
Marsha really enjoyed the pasta! Holy cow baby! Three platefuls!
And Mikey was reading while he ate, anyone surprised??? Anyone??? It was a fun, busy wonderful day! I loved the business and fun of it all, I was so tired by the end of the day…. but totally worth it!
I have to share this horrible recipe! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! I got this off pinterest and was so excited to do it! I got all the kids ready, got my stuff ready…. all you need petroleum jelly, dry koolaid and little containers.. super easy right?

We mixed it, we followed directions… it was grainy and terrible, I tried melting it…. that was terrible and then we tried it out! BURNING!!!! It burns your lips! I just remember Lucy saying ” it burns…. it burns! Who wants to burn their lips! It was terrible, so do not make it!
This is what it looked like after we warmed it up…. it was not good! It looked better, more like lip gloss but still burns your lips!
However great side note! I did end up making my own recipe of a very nice lip sugar scrub that I will share another time! I think I have taken up enough of your day! Thank you for popping in! I hope you have a happy and wonderful day!!
