Happy, happy Wednesday!! This week is flying by, and I am so super busy!! I found out I have polyhydramnios, which is too much amniotic fluid. So starting today, I will be taking stress tests and I will be induced a bit early. I am feeling a bit upset about it. This is most likely our last baby, and I was so looking forward to going into labor on my own. I was hoping for a week late not two weeks early! So, this next week will be filled with trying to get meals frozen, the house super clean and just all around ready! PLEASE WISH ME LUCK!
I want to share my hospital bags, I at least am prepared that way! Yay! My bags are packed!!
My essential bags are these! My laboring bag, my hospital bag and the baby’s bag. AND of course a nursing pillow, called My breast friend! THE GREATEST NURSING PILLOW EVER! If you have never heard of it, look it up! I love it!
This is my labor bag, it consists of a few favorites for Mike :) His favorite candy, lemonheads, and licorice, some chips to snack on and I will grab his favorite soda or some flavored water! Also, games to play, My mom and my sister Becky are always at the births and they all keep each other busy. I prefer a natural childbirth so as contractions get worse, I just get quiet and this way they are not bored! I also always freeze during labor! I always pack a few pairs of socks,( one never seems to be enough, it will get wet somehow, or something so I bring a few pairs.) A ponytail holder and brush for my hair, I will always have lip gloss and some eyeliner! And last but not least I always have a letter to Mike, it sounds weird but I always write a letter to him, that way if I die for some horrible reason I was able to say all the things I wanted to. If I don’t die, that is wonderful and he just has a lovely letter! haha! I also have a letter for the kids at home. I make them a little goody bag, I will share that later!
This is the baby bag! I have diapers, wet wipes ( the hospital always wants you to use washcloths, no thanks!) A journal, everyone that comes to visit and all the nurses write a little note to the baby! Marsha’s was funny, we did not have her name for a few days, so they all say baby no name! A few outfits, I have one ready for right after birth! My nursing cover and a few blankets! I also have nursing pads just in case, pacifier just in case and breast cream just in case!!
This is my bag!! I pack quite a bit, but hey I am having a baby and having two days to just enjoy baby! SO I pack Pajamas, two pairs at least I usually bring three. A nursing bra, a sleeping bra( one of my favorite things throughout pregnancy!!) A few pairs of my own underwear! I am a big fan of the meshy pair they give you, but you only get one! A few of my own pads! The ones at the hospital are huge! I prefer the super thin kind! My toiletries…. shampoo, conditioner, a body sponge and body wash, a razor and shaving cream! Hey! I have been blind shaving for so long it will be nice to see my legs again! I also always pack a pair of pajama pants for Mike and one of his sweatshirts. He will be with me most of the time and I like him to be comfortable too!! And of course my journal, although I don’t get much time to write in it, I always try to write at least once while there! I still need to grab a favorite movie and my snacks, my favorites are black pepper triscuits and a block of sharp cheddar cheese! haha! I will snack on that all night while nursing the baby! My mom brought me that one time, I ate the whole box before I even left the hospital and since then it has been my favorite snack! Oh and of course I will bring toothbrush and my make up! But those get packed as I am leaving!!
These are my bags! I am excited to meet this little boy and quite honestly really anxious. With this new info, I am still in a whirlwind, I had a blessing from Mike and I will know more this afternoon after meeting with my dr. I just want it to all go well!
Smile book!
Orange chicken for dinner!
Made 40 loaves of bread yesterday! phew!
I love a hot shower!
So grateful for Mike, his strength means so much to me.
Grateful for my kids, so thankful to be their mom
See you tomorrow!! Have a super, happy day!

Thanks for your post. I’m am so far behind. Maybe packing my bags will make me realize that our little one will be here soon, November 17. I still don’t have her clothes and blankets washed, car seat and swing are still in boxes in the garage and bassinet it somewhere. Lots to do!! Wish I was as motivated, productive and had as much energy as you do!!! Miss you!!!

Love this post!!!! Even though I will not be having any more kids (I wanted 1 more but am blessed for the two I have), I love seeing what you packed!!! Question, the diaper wipes- is that a holder you made for them or is it something you can buy? It looks cute! Hope you have a super day!
LaraM says
Christine,
Hi!! THank you!! The diaper wipes holder was a gift, I already love it!! I am not sure where she got it from but it is pretty cool!!
