Happy, happy Wednesday everyone!! Yay!! Sorry, but I am still just so happy to be back blogging! So exciting for things to be getting back to our new normal! Right now, sweet Hinckley is sleeping in his little bouncer, I was able to get the kids a snack and post this! Normally he loves to be held…. all the time! He in one month old today!! My how time flies!
I want to ask for some help from you all!! Last week, Mike and the older kids went to Chicago for the day. They were so excited! They rode the train, they saw all the gorgeous lights, drank hot chocolate and really had a wonderful time. Something special happened while they were there. It was not because of any of those things…. Mikes sister Cindy also went. Cindy made real magic happen!
The kids came home and told me all about the trip, but something was upsetting to them. They were shocked and saddened by the homeless people. The boys kept talking about it and how cold it was for them and how they didn’t have blankets and things to be warm. It is sad, I agreed. But they said, Aunt Cindy bought this one homeless lady a blanket. Cindy ran into Target and got her a blanket. The boys then asked if we could buy blankets to give to the homeless people too. That is real magic… the children recognizing the needs of others….. my heart was so full. Of course we can bring blankets to the homeless!
SO, this is where I am hoping those around me can help and those not near me can take the challenge! Mike and I will be going to Chicago on the 19th of December. We are going to be taking some blankets to the needy! If you have any you would like to donate, we will be grateful! I hope if you live far away, you can drop some blankets off at the nearest shelter or if you see some people in need, pass some out! AND let me know if you do!! The kids will be keeping track of how many we have and they will be in charge of making sure they are all cleaned and ready to go. They will be thrilled if you can help even from far away!! We are super excited to do this! We have always told our children,”kindness begins with me” I am so grateful that they are wanting to be proactive with helping others. It is true kindness begins with each of us, even the smallest act makes a difference. I am so grateful for Cindy and for the ripple effect she is causing from her simple act of kindness.
THANK YOU!! in advance!!
Also, I wanted to share a quote that I just love,
This is in our bathroom and I read it every single day. This has been on my mind a lot lately. I am trying to be more aware of talking to the Lord about everything, not just the big but the little and asking him for help the things I need and hope for, and then having faith that my prayers will be answered and knowing he knows the best time to answer them, having patience!
I hope you have a super day today! My goal for today is to get all 12 loads of laundry folded and put away! I got them all washed, now on to the putting away!! I am so grateful for all of you dear readers! Thank you again for being part of my life!!

Hey another great idea is to make “essential bags” hand sanatizer, toothbrush, deodorant, glaves, mints, gum, applsauce, granola bars, and more into a zip lock baggie. And hand them out with blankets :) it’s all about paying it forward! What a kind and beautiful thing!
