Thank you for stopping by friends! I am so excited we are in week 3 of my Choosing Happiness Series! Tip #3 already!! It is a really simple one! So simple that you may think “how in the world is that going to make me any happier?”
I want you to try it and see if it does indeed brighten your day or your mood!
Are you ready for it?
Drum roll please~ GO OUTSIDE!
Yes, super simple right? Just go outside for a few minutes, it does not have to be long. You don’t need to go on some long walk. Just go outside for a few minutes and breathe. Look around at the beauty. Look at the sky, the clouds, the trees, the grass. Listen to the sounds of the world. Even if you are in the city, and it is noisy, still just go outside and breathe.
I have found when I do that, my mood is lightened. I take notice of things that so often I am overlooking. It could be raining and I still go outside. The sound of the rain or the way it hits the ground. Even on a cloudy day, there is still beauty. A warm day, take a few minutes and feel the sun on your face. And take a few deep breaths and be still for a few moments.
You will notice the sounds of birds or the scampering of an animal, the barking of a dog. The wind as it rushes through trees. I have found it can uplift me and rejuvenate me. It helps to center the day.
As the weather gets nicer, this is even easier! I have found that I can get caught up in my home, cleaning, doing bills, or reading or watching kids. It is easy to forget to take a few minutes and really notice this gorgeous earth we live on. If you have the time, go on a walk, go on a bike ride. You could even go on a run, In my mind I am a super runner! LOL! Just not in real life!
I would love to hear if you use this tip and how you felt! I told you this was super easy!!
Don’t forget to pop in next Tuesday for another easy tip!
