Happy, happy Saturday! Saturdays are so wonderful aren’t they? I always feel like I have a whole day to just get stuff done!
In the summer, there are lots of soccer games to go to, yard work to be done. However, in the winter, not much outside stuff going on for us! I kinda like the slower pace at times. We have a huge cold front coming, they have already cancelled school for Monday….. I am a little excited about that! I hope we have fun that day! Today, I will be getting everything ready for the big cold front. It is supposed to last a few days, so best to be prepared! I have a fun day of errands and a date night with Mike tonight, YAY!
I wanted to share a fun, new game that we just discovered! It is called Dutch Blitz! I got it for Mike for Christmas and we love it! Two to four players can play, it says ages 8 and up. I think 6yrs and up would be just fine! It is fast paced and addicting! It reminded me of a few games , solitaire, skip-bo and Marsha (mikes mom) said nertz. Those may be just Meier games…. well the nertz one, so I don’ t know if anyone will know what game that is!!! Ha! It is really fun! The purpose is to hit 75 points, each round you either win or lose points based on how many cards you have left. On average the points were around 10 per round. To finish the game it took about 30 min.
We had a lot of fun playing it, I did not win. If you play with Mikes mom ,Marsha it is best to just be prepared to lose! That lady is so good at games! I lose 90% of the time when I play any game with her! Does that stop me from playing! Oh no! I try each time to beat her! And in the end, if I beat anyone else, like Mike… I feel as though I won! I am really glad we got it! Fun, family game! I encourage you to try it out! I ordered mine from Amazon and it was about $7.00.
I wanted to make sure you know I was not given this game nor compensated for telling you about it! I just thought it would be great to share things I/we love as a family with you guys! I am posting on Saturdays and want to share more than just a recipe with you! ( Although, I do have some delicious ones planned for this week!) So, I thought a fun game we love would be a super idea! Have a super, wonderful, happy Saturday! Off to the store I go!
HUGE hugs,
Lara
