I love Easter! I love the reason behind Easter and well honestly, I love the chocolate bunnies also! What a great time to give a simple treat to those you love. A treat that is sweet, simple, yet so cute and a treat that will brighten their day and won’t take all day to make…. How about sn Easter Mason Jar Treat! It is easy to make and so cute! AND there is chocolate in it! I love mason jars and I tend to always have plenty around! This is a great way to use them and most importantly brighten someones day!
My sweet friend Heather made some cute Easter jar treats for a few friends and I asked if I could share my version of them on the blog and she so kindly agreed, Heather is pretty amazing and I keep encouraging her to do a blog! She is fantastic at a slew of things~
Extremely simple folks!
All you need is a jar, any jar with a lid will do, I used Ball Canning Regular Mouth Half Pint Canning Jar 8 oz. 12-Count ,you could use an old pickle jar or jelly jar. Just clean off the label. You will also need a little Easter grass, a few jelly beans, a small bunny that can stand or sit, and some ribbon. Put the grass in first, then the bunny, sprinkle a few jelly beans around it, then put the lid on and tie a ribbon! Total cost less than $1.75 if you get the dollar bunnies! Heather had Dove chocolate bunny in hers…..yummy and chocolate eggs… double yummy! Mine are the dollar bunnies, you can get them from Wal-Mart and while there grab some jelly beans. I wanted to keep my cost down. You could do the all chocolate version for a more decadent treat! These were so easy! It took me about ten minutes to make five of them.
Make a few!
Each of the children took one for their teacher today. I love doing little thank you or just because gifts for the teachers, they work crazy hard for our kids, I want them to know I appreciate them. How much do you love it when you feel appreciated? As a mom….. when that happens… it is awesome right?? So make a teachers day or a crabby neighbor or the mailman… or your visiting teachers..or your mom… goodness the list is endless!
Cute little bunny! These bunnies were really easy to use because they could sit easily.
So have fun! Today, Charli, Marsha and I will be making some for a few friends, they will be in charge of putting the jelly beans in the jars….. we will see how many make it into the jars as compared to their mouths!
I would love to get your ideas on recipes you want to learn for easter, so comment below!! Thank you!! And of course let me know if you make the easter jar treats, and send a picture! Thanks again Heather!! You inspire me!!
