Today is a rainy dreary day. Perfect for hot chili for dinner, a down comforter, sweats and a great book….. doesn’t that sound lovely! I plan on doing all that and adding on laundry! I love rainy days for doing laundry! What are your favorite things to do on rainy days??? On top of all the awesome laundry I am going to do, today I am also making easy easter peep treats!! When I say easy, I really mean easy! AND SO CUTE!!
I made these PEEP TREATS for the kids teachers last year and I am doing it again this year. So, I wanted to share how to do them! They are fun and SO easy! The kids think they are adorable and they are perfect for a great teacher, a sweet neighbor gift, a visiting teacher gift or a just because I love you!
Ok, so who doesn’t love a peep? My father in law hoards these after Easter, there were like 6 boxed hidden above the washing machine as of early this year! My kids love peeps, everyone seems to love peeps, so make a cute treat and make someones day!
EASY EASTER PEEP TREATS
Supplies you will need:
Lollipop sticks 6 inch This is a great deal, you can also get them at hobby lobby.
PEEPS ( best deal I found was walmart 12 for a 1.00)
JELLY BEANS, I like ones that complimented the peeps color wise!
Pretzel Party Bags Remember I used them also for the here! GET THEM!! THEY are so GREAT!
Clear Elastic Braiding Bands , they sell these at the dollar store, but I wanted to show you what they looked like!
Ribbon any ribbon will do, I like this size!
Grab your peep and push the lollipop stick in the bottom. Push it about half way up. I wanted it to be sturdy!
Slide the peep into the bag, if it is sticky I dabbed the sides of the peep into corn starch so it was not sticky anymore!
Slide the jelly beans in! I liked the pastels, I think they looked prettier with the peep colors!
Put a rubber band on the bottom to hold the beans in! You do not have to do this, however, I was making mine for a bake sale and did not want a bow to come untied and all the beans fall out!
Little ms. Marsha wanted in on the peeps! Poor little earless bunny!
Tie with a bow and there you go! They are cute little stinkers aren’t they?
I loved it! They were super easy and looked so cute! Total cost was about .13 cents a piece. So very inexpensive and very cute!
So there are some easy easter peep treats! Try saying that three times…. now say it faster! Haha! I am making these this year for the kids teachers, everyone loves a little treat now and again.
