Happy Tuesday! Happy first day of school for us! WOW! This summer flew by! I can not wait to share pictures of the kids, but you will have to wait until tomorrow! I have to organize them, so tomorrow it will be!
We had a lovely labor day! Picnic at my moms, and then an impromptu family get together at the beach! Very fun and oh my word very sandy! Haha! So much sand! I didn’t swim, but I still had sand everywhere! Marsha loves swimming as much as I love vegetable soup………. which is not at all!
This week I am sharing easy and helpful school ideas. Today I am sharing LUNCHES!! I don’t know about you but my mornings are hectic. Even with being totally ready, the mornings are hectic! Getting all the kids up, dressed, family prayer, breakfast and out the door by 7 am is tough! I want to be as ready as possible.
I know I have shared my freezer pb and J sandwiches here!
And I shared my preparing fruit ahead Here! Remember you can do any fruit or applesauce etc!
And finally the preparation of snack bags! Remember those are HERE! Those are always so great to have on hand!
And finally how to pack apples ahead of time! You can pack these a week in advance! See that post HERE!
Okay, so if you have done all that prep! Getting lunches ready is super easy! The night before I set out all the lunch boxes.
Yes that is my lunch station! Emma was taking hot lunch, otherwise there would be one more. Can you tell Mikey’s lunch box? It is the massive one on the end! I ordered lunch bags online and did not realize how big it was! Mikey is thrilled!
I fill the lunches the night before with everything that does not have to be kept cold, so the snack bag, the sweet note for the day,( yes I write them the day before!) the napkin and hard fruit. If it is a full apple or full orange. Fruit like that. AND a small treat! Can not forget the dessert!
Then in the morning I grab the rest. The sandwich, the cut fruit, and any refrigerated veggies.
Super simple! I do have to admit, I ate the swiss cake roll after this picture was taken! Well, Marsha and I shared it! I have not had a swiss cake roll in like five years! They weren’t bad!
I will buy a box of treats and separate them out into single serving. If you buy treats they are often enough for two servings!
There is a super easy way to get lunches ready! No frazzled making of sandwiches or trying to bag snacks! You also save money by prepping most of it your self! Instead of buying single serving bags of things.
I hope you have a super day! Check bag tomorrow for more school hints! I love you popping in! Makes my heart happy!!
Oh this is a doozy of a messy moment!
This is Charli! She had asked to put a little lip gloss on in the car…. normally this is a very simple procedure. Very little mess on her face and never any on her hands or body! Not this time! oh my goodness! Lip gloss everywhere!! I used a diaper (clean of course) to wipe it all off! The one time I don’t have wet wipes on hand!
She did a great job with the lips!! Not so much with the rest of her! Note to self! Only the lip gloss with the little wand. I think the sqeezing got the best of her!
Smile Book!
Labor day fun, super way to end the summer!
All kids in bed asleep by 9pm ahhh and I was in bed at 10!
My friend Heather did a whole weeks of prepped lunches from the blog! So exciting to see someone using this info!
