Happy Friday! I am so happy it is Friday! We have had some sick little ones this week and I seem to have gotten it now too! Stuffy nose, yucky throat and burning eyes! Boo! It could be worse though! Heres to a slow weekend I hope!
I wanted to share my favorite five things this week! My sister had her baby recently and a good friend lost his father, big changes like that always causes me to think on what is important. I think those thoughts influenced my top five this week!
Chocolate covered Marshmallows! BIG ONES! Do you see how big next to the quarter! They are awesome! I want to eat them all….. at once! They are from SAMS Club if any of you are wanting some!
Rainy, cozy days. I love rainy days, they just help you slow down a little. They are comfortable enough for a warm sweater, not freezing and not too hot. I love the feeling of rainy days! I admit, some days it makes me just want to cuddle with Charli and put on a sweet movie or read a great book…. thank heavens for quiet time!
I met little MILA! My newest Niece who came a few weeks early! She is beautiful and there is something so special about your siblings having children. I just love the deep love I already have for her. I am so proud of Katy and what a wonderful mommy she is! I remember the day Katy was born and it is so wonderful to see her sweet little girl now!
My mom and dad! I need a more updated picture! This is from a few years ago at the fourth of July parade. I just love it! I love together they are holding the umbrella, each one hand. I love that after 11 kids and 38 plus years of marriage they still love each other and let us see that love. I love them so much and I am so grateful for their example and for their love that has trickled down to us. We have seen them work hard, argue, make up, say sorry, hug, kiss, be forgiving, be thoughtful, be stressed and above all love us and love Heavenly Father. I am so grateful!
Me and my dad! This is at Mikeys arrow of light scout evening and he came! I am just grateful for him! Grateful he is still here on earth. I had a good friend lose his dad last week, he is my age and my heart ached for him. I am grateful I still have my dad on the earth with me. He is such a good man, the hardest working man I know. Always willing to help, he truly would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. I love him and I am thankful he is my dad and even more thankful he is my friend.
A little sappy this week! I think with the birth of Mila and the death of my friends dad, I just have been more aware of the things that matter. I am so grateful for the blessings in my life. From family, good friends to healthy babies, to a warm home and food in the pantry…… I am more blessed than I deserve. So this weekend I am going to continue to see the little things, and be thankful for them!
I hope you have a super day! I hope you are warm and cozy in your heart!~
