Happy, happy Friday! The weekend is here~ YAY!! It has been a great week! Busy and wonderful! I have a few things in the works for the blog next week, that I am really, really excited about! So, you can be excited too! There was a lot of wonderful things this week! It is hard to pick the top five. I pick the things that had the most lasting impression on me, things that make me want to be better or things that make me feel really happy! Are you ready for this weeks??? Here you go!
I LOVE THIS!! I saw this at the mall and had to snap a picture! I think I am going to make one for our home. Isn’t this perfect for us!!
St. Nick came!! He has just started coming to our house! This is the second year, he always puts a little candy in the children’s shoes! Look how rough they all look! This was a 6 am this morning! I love it!
Bagel Chips! Okay, not really the bagel chips, but what they stand for. I was at Aldi ( my favorite grocery store), I saw a lady have some of these in her cart and I remember Tucker asking me to make chex mix. So I decided to go get some, after searching for a few minutes, I saw the lady again and asked where she had found them. Guess what ! Wrong lady! She did not know where they were either. So I thought , sorry tuck, next time and got into line. As I was checking out the ” Wrong lady” came up and had two bags of bagel chips, she had found them and brought me one of each kind to make sure I would get the right one. I was so surprised that she did that. She was busy shopping, it was right before dinner, she had kids with her…… yet she took the time to not only find the bagel chips and grab both kinds, but then to also go through the store to find me to give me them. I will never forget that. What kindness she showed. I am grateful!
That delicious apple cider and a movie! This is actually Emma’s picture! I saw this on her phone, Her sweet Aunt Tiffany had her babysit and had this for her! Emma loved it! I love it so much because my 14 yr old is remembering to be grateful and thankful for things that are quite simple. I am grateful for a daughter who is finding the joy in the little things.
DOLLAR STORE DECORATIONS!! The ornaments, the star and the big ornament ball are all from the dollar store! Well, everything but the jar. I will share some really cute ideas next week, let me just say you give me fifteen dollars and the dollar store, I can decorate the house! This little set up is in the kitchen. I LOVE IT!
All of these things made me so happy this week! From the simple act of a stranger willing to go the extra mile for me to Sweet Emma’s appreciation for something as simple as a drink and a movie, they fill my heart with joy. Those things make me want to be more helpful and take more notice of simple things, like the super comfortable pj’s that I am currently wearing that I really should change and get dressed before someone comes here! I hope we look at each day through fabulous glasses! Look for the little things throughout the day that give you joy, it doesn’t have to be HUGE, it is often the little things that have the lasting impression. One of my favorite quotes of all time!!! “People will forget what you did, people will forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” Make others feel great this week!! On a side note, cute Mike keeps hoping to make the fabulous five list….. he is fabulous every week…. he may get his own Friday soon!!!!! That is a little teaser for you!
