Happy, happy Friday everyone! Yay! It’s the weekend! WHOO HOOOO!! I love weekends! I want to thank each and everyone of you who voted yesterday for which picture to use!! I will reveal it on Monday!! The blog will have its updated look with the picture that won! Thank you very much, I was feeling awkward about asking! Shoot, I was feeling awkward taking the picture! I am usually the one taking pictures, in fact one year we went to Florida and Mikes brother Jeff came. We have whole scrapbook of Jeff and Mike with their five kids! So funny that I am in like two of the pictures and the rest are Mike, Jeff and five little kids! So thank you again! Mikey took those pictures by the way and I think he did a super job!
It is Friday and you know what that means! My five favorite things this week! Things that made me really happy, really grateful or I just really loved!
Here you go!!
My new Napkin dispenser! Yes like a restaurant one! I love it! It holds like 100 napkins it seems! No, I did not borrow it from a restaurant, I got it on Amazon (or as I call it AMAZONAZING!) and I LOVE IT!!!
The Work and the Glory series. I read this when Mike and I started dating and I loved it then, I needed a new book to read, I started and finished the first one in two days and I am now on to book number two. I LOVE this series, It has some wonderful history in it and He is an excellent writer. I recommend it to everyone! I am trying to get my kids to read it….. we will see!
The Wilton Cookie spatula, that is what it is called! Seriously one of my most used and loved tools of the kitchen! GO get one today! This week I made 48 cinnamon rolls, of which we have 7 left….. It is the go to tool for cookies, brownies and yes cinnamon rolls! I Love it!!
This sweet boy! Mikey, I shared this on my instagram early this week. It was one of my absolute favorite pictures of him. I was at Wally World ( Wal-Mart) This is what he did the entire time. We were there for over a half hour. He read and walked like this. It was very hard to steer that blasted cart! He was so sweet though. He started to read like this and I almost told him to stop… then I thought it was better for him to read like this where I could at least guide him, otherwise he tries to read and walk…. that does not work very well! Mikey is such a sweet boy, I am so grateful to be his mom.
And last but not the least! This sweet, beautiful block with this sweet Emma of mine. Emma had her new beginnings at church on wed. New Beginnings is where all the girls in our church 12 and up have a little program that introduces the new girls that are turning 12 this year to the young women program at our church. It was such a special and beautiful program. My sweet friend Heather is the President of Young Women and she planned and organized the night. She made each of the girls a block with their picture and a quote on it. She did not know this but the quote for Emma is beyond perfection!
I want to point out part of it…first, I can do hard things: Mike shares that quote with his class every year, he has that quote up on his wall in his room. That quote is a big deal in our house! Second: I am beautiful inside and out. Emma is the typical teenage girl that gets stressed about looks and weight and height and all those fun things that so many deal with and I am so glad she can read this every day and know she is beautiful inside and out! Third and then I will quit, I love that it says I am never alone, I think at some point we all can feel alone, But we never are. We always can pray and feel the love the Lord has for us. I could go through each phrase on that block…. I love it. I love it so much that it is something I will cherish always. I am so grateful to be Emma’s mom. I am grateful to be a mom to seven beautiful, healthy, happy children. I am so grateful for that.
Everyday I thank my Heavenly Father for them…. So this one is a three parter, one is being a mom to cute Emma, two this block and three my friend Heather… She works so hard to love and support all the young women in our ward and I am so grateful for her. She is amazing! I always tell her I want to just go and be fly on her wall on day! She is a super mom!!
There they are! Sorry number five was a bit long!! I hope this weekend you find joy! You have lots of smiles and lots of love!! Next week the new blog format! AUGH~ Exciting!! Have a happy, wonderful weekend! I will see you tomorrow!!
