Happy, happy Friday! I am back! I had a few days of no blogging, I missed you all! It feels good to blog today! I am now 13 weeks, one day pregnant! Holy cow ! Not only is time flying but goodness me this pregnancy is kicking my butt! Now that the first trimester is over, I am hoping that the all day sickness subsides a bit! AND I stop being just exhausted. Although I am considered advanced maternal age…. and I do have seven kids already…. I may be exhausted for the rest of my life! Or at least the next 18 yrs! I am really excited for the baby, I have gained about 8 pounds already and my pants are so TIGHT! I somehow have misplaced all my maternity clothes….. nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! I am hoping to look again this weekend! Enough baby talk! I will have an update next week!
I don’t have many pictures this week to share with the five things that made me happy and you know what, that is okay! I was too busy enjoying the moments to go and get my camera, and take the pictures. This week was so wonderful though, I just appreciate all the blessings that I have.
This was last Sunday before church, we are doing Meier Money and Heston wanted to earn a few dollars, so he was reading to the little girls before church. I love Charlis face, so intent and her little gloved hands on her lap. Cute Lucy is trying to read along and Heston is just a sweet big brother. Made me smile and made me grateful for my children. Have I mentioned I love 1pm church, for the sake that I can get everyone ready and still breathe!
This is my dad! He is amazing! My cars engine light came on and being the Abbott girl that I am, I took the car to the auto store and had them read the code, found out the code meant the engine coil were misfiring, looked into that found out that the spark plugs needed replaced. Then I called my dad! He came over and we did it together, I love working with him. I love that I learn from him and not just watch him do it. He takes the time out of his super busy life to come over and help me. We then had a nice lunch together and got to chat. He always loves whatever I cook even if it is simple leftovers, he is such a good man and I am so grateful for him.
The Dentist office, seriously. They fit in 6 kids in one day, thank you thank you! I can not tell you how time consuming it is to only be able to do one kid or two at a time with multiple dental visits! I am thankful!!
The sunshine! This week was the first time since last year that I took the kids outside without coats and sweatshirts. I LOVED IT! They loved it! We were out there in the morning and then again for like three hours after quiet time. My house was a wreck and still is but you know what, that is okay, yesterday was to be spent playing and enjoying the warmth!
Ikea with my sister Tiffany, seriously I will start to cry…. Tiffany and I went to Ikea together on a school night, I did not want to go by myself, it is over an hour away. She drove and went on a school night! With her three kids and Emma! I loved being with her for an uninterrupted hour, well other than the occasional kid yelling to turn up or down a song…. it was nice to just be with her. Then we had two hours to hang out, walk around, laugh, shop, just be together and on the way home, she was singing. I just listened and try to take a mental picture of her. I tried to burn that in my memory. She is so sweet, and kind. Tiffany can a have tough exterior and the complete opposite of me in that aspect, but her spirit and her goodness is just inspiring. Tiffany is having knee surgery today and I know I won’t really relax until I hear she is awake and doing well. For her it was just a fun night, for me it was more than that….. it was me and my little sister making memories and strengthening our relationship.
Those are my five this week! I am so grateful for the week I had. I have lots of stuff coming up! I am sharing MEIER MONEY! That is our way of encouraging the kids to help. I have a baby update with pictures! Me and little one! Also, I am making my chocolate truffles…. seriously so good and so easy!
