Happy, happy Monday everyone! I hope your weekend was wonderful! I had the joy of listening to conference this weekend. Twice a year, as a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, we have the opportunity to hear from the leaders of our church in two day conference. It is televised and we were able to enjoy it as a family. I loved it. To learn more about my beliefs you can check out my profile on Mormon.org HERE! I will share some of my favorites parts another day!
I was so excited to share this cute little hair bow! It is really easy to make and very inexpensive. Felt is a quarter a sheet and out of one sheet you can make four flowers. It is very simple!. It only takes a few minutes to make each one. When you look at spending three dollars a bow or more at a store, .25 for four of them is quite the bargain!
Are you ready? HERE YOU GO!
All you need is a piece of felt, scissors, a little rhinestone, a hair clip and the glue gun.
Cut a total of six circles, mine were 4 inch circles. save a little piece of your scrap for the back of the hair clip.
Put a little hot glue down the center of the circle.
Fold the circle in half like a taco shape.
Put more glue along the crease and fold in half again.
Perfect!
Repeat with five of the six circles.
Using your last circle, glue each little taco piece down. lining them up with each other along the sides.
It will look like this, make sure none of the bottom circle is poking out, if it is, trim it down with a pair of scissors.
Put a nice amount of glue in the center. Add your final taco piece.
You may want to add a little bit of glue here and there to make it as tight as you want. I added a little glue to one of the sides that weren’t sticking tightly as a I wanted them to.
Hot Glue your little rhinestone right in the middle! You could also use buttons, or multiple rhinestones, have fun with it!
Using your little scrap, put a strip of hot glue and clip on the hair barrette.
There you go! You can add Duct carpet tape, if you want this flower to stay in really fine hair!
Pretty little Charlottes head!
She did not want her picture taken! HAHA!
I made a bunch for my niece Ava :) they were super fun and super easy! I think they are very fun too! Oh and I made a few for my brand new niece Mila, they are adorable on new babies or little girls! I am making a few plain ones for me, without the rhinestone…. They are just fun!
I hope you try them and I would love to see some pictures if you do! I also hope you check back here soon! I am trying to share great info with you! So if there is something you want to know, tell me!
