Happy, happy Friday!! It is Friday! Whoo hooo! The final Friday before school starts! I will miss summer, but I do love that during the school year the Fridays are super special! They are the start of the weekend and I think it is appreciated more when they have had school all week!
I have had a great week! Full of ups and downs, mostly ups! Life really is just going with the flow so much. Many times, things that can feel gigantic will be okay if you just keep working and not giving up! I watched this awesome talk on patience. Patience is not sitting around and waiting. Patience is continuing to work smart and hard while waiting for the result you want. It was a really great thing to learn!
I have a great fabulous five this week!
A few things that I could not really take pictures of….
My friend Heather and Helen both helping out with getting Emma home from practice this week! They were life savers! Mike…. just Mike, I love him more everyday… even on days that he leaves popsicle wrappers in the cup holder… instead of the garbage! haha! My pto meeting went great! I was very nervous! Very! But it went well! and someone that I really respect said I had a great blog post the other day, that was awesome!
Okay but for the stuff I can take pictures of!
Yesterday was open house for EverGreen, everyone had to bring their backpacks. Charli had hers!! We went to all the classes and when we got to Mikes, he took a few minutes and talked to her about how excited she was to go to school! NEXT YEAR! I love how excited she is! I took at least 15 pictures without them realizing it. I just loved it. Mike so sweet and Charli so happy!
We had a celebration day to end summer! Homemade glitter and decorating cupcakes! Sweet Lucy was so proud of hers!! Looks delicious!!
Emma made the Case Volleyball team! We thought she was going to go to Horlick, she made that team and then we found out she was supposed to go to Case, we were so worried that she would not be able to try out, the try outs there had already started. However, she was able to try out and she made that team too! Huge confidence boost for Emma! I am really excited for her!
My sweet and so kind brother Tony, this man is brilliant! We have not one but two bathrooms leaking horribly. He owns a tattoo shop called Ink Affliction and he is such a hardworking guy, he came super early before work this week and checked them out, and he is coming back this weekend to fix one and hopefully in a week or two fix the other… So, SO grateful for him!
MY VAN WINDOW ROLLS DOWN!! I know that seems so silly, but this window has not worked for over three years! THREE YEARS!! If it did roll down, then it would not roll up for about a day… really a hassle with rain, snow…………etc! We finally got it fixed! SO SO happy! I felt like a little kid, I think I rolled it up and down about 15 times in a row! I had to tell myself to stop! It has been such a pill to not be able to roll down the window…. seriously try for a day, you will be shocked how much you actually use the window!
Those are my fabulous five! I hope you have an awesome weekend !! What are your fabulous five for this week? I love reading your comments!
OH BONUS!! Its thundering right now! whoo hoo! Love storms!
Messy Moment:
On the way home from the open house, we pull in the driveway. Tucker very kindly offers to jump out and move a bike…………… and as he opens the door…….. this happens!
For the love people! Seriously! Now this door only opens from the outside! This is super for when Mike and I drive together,”Hey babe will you get my door?” Not going to be great with kids and I am the only adult! haha! Maybe in three years this will be fixed!
Smile Book!
Open house with the kids! Super fun!
Emma came and crawled in our bed for a bit last night…. it was neat, she is so grown up now that she does not really do that ever!
Tuna and rice for lunch…. yup simple and delicious!
Saw my sister Tiffany at school, I am soooo grateful that our kids are in school together!
Mike’s sister is moving here tonight! Yay!
