Happy, happy Tuesday!! I hope you are having a super day!!! I had such a super morning~ my friend Melissa popped over and we got to visit together. The blog is a little late but hey!! I am super excited to share my bubble gum cupcakes!
They are so cute and so fun to make and the kids think they are just fabulous!! Cupcake, icing and a bubble gum ball!! Score!! I often will make these for birthday treats, they are super simple and super fast and can look like you spent more time than you really did!
I like to keep gum balls on hand…. always! Need a quick gift? Throw some gum balls in a cute jar, tie a bow on it and there you go! Or if you have more time, decorate the jar with some vinyl, put their name on it or just some hearts or a football… it is endless. A quick filler…. gum balls!
I buy my gum balls in bulk from Sams Club, like this!
Yup 850 gum balls!! Perfect for an incentive to go potty on a toilet, quick clean a room in less than ten minutes, or to keep a grandpa happy! Mike’s dad LOVES gum balls!
Okay, back to these awesome cup cakes!
I try to keep cupcakes around, and icing. I usually have one or both things in the freezer. Hey you never know when you might miss a someones birthday!
So you need icing, cupcakes, and a few gum balls. You will also need a piping bag, and a tip. My favorite tip is 2D from Wilton. You can buy one Here, that is just where I found them on Amazon. I am not paid for that in any way, it is just my favorite! You can use a piping bag or even a large zip lock.
Grab your piping bag and a few cupcakes, as you fill the bag, keep some of the end free so you can seal off the end, you can just wrap it like I did or even use a rubber band to make sure it does not squeeze out! It is very messy…. trust me…. and you will end up eating a lot of frosting…. and that is coming from a girl who does not even eat icing!
Start on the outside and just circle around…… keep circling until the cupcake is covered.
Ta duh!!! Terrible picture I know! Hey, I am still learning!
After you have iced them, just grab Ms. Lucy if you have one, and have them help you by placing gum balls in the center of each cup cake.
SOOOO cute! You can do these in so many ways! Orange and purple for Halloween, pink and red for valentines, Green and white for st. pattys… it is endless! SO have fun with it! Or make one for Bubble Gum Day!! It is real! It is on Feb 6th~ Read all about it HERE
My kids loved helping and loved even more eating them! I hope you try them and share some pictures!!
Okay! Something new on the blog! I am going to have a question of the day! I would love to see your answers so just comment below! I think it will be fun to get to know you better! Tomorrow I will give my answer and then ask a new question!
