Happy, happy New Years Eve! What a wonderful day! The eve of a whole new year! A whole day of anticipation! A day of thinking about what is important this next year! Also a day of realizing it may be a late night! I love the New Year! I think it is a great time to think about what is important to you, what can you improve on, what have you been doing great at.. I think of all of these things. I don’t really do the whole I am going to exercise at this time of year, for me that is more once the kids are out of school and it is warm. Today is minus 10 degrees. Yes, minus ten! I do not love going out in the cold, much less running in the cold. No, thanks! I have been thinking a lot about this next year, what I want to achieve, what does our family want to achieve. The list is important. I think we need to know what it is we are wanting, what we are hoping for and to acknowledge those things so we can accomplish them. I have been blogging for about two months now, I love it, I am enjoying it and I have so much I want to share with you all. My hope for the new year regarding blogging is that I hope I take better pictures! I am sorry about the pictures! It is getting better but oh dear some of the very first ones…. egh. I am also hoping to go to a blogging conference this year! I hope to bring you guys good content and to share what I love about life in general. I am trying daily to improve! I would also really love to grow my blog, so please feel free to share this with whomever! As for our family, we are hoping to be more charitable. I think charity can be hard for little ones, to think of others first. We are working on that here a lot! Also, to keep the house cleaner…… seven kids…. it is hard! I always feel like it is cleaned and fabulous for about ten minutes at a time! Do you ever feel that way? It gets cleaned and I almost want everyone to leave that room so it stays clean! Ha! Ha! We also have decided to get to church on time…. we are usually about ten minutes late! We take two cars to church, you would think half of us could get there on time…. no. Church will be starting at one instead of nine, so I am fairly confident we can do it! For myself, I am hoping to pray more, read my scriptures more, have a more in depth relationship with my Heavenly Father. I want to make sure we have date night every week, I will be sharing date night ideas on the blog later this month! I want to dress more fun! I am going to start sharing a few outfits with Emma on the blog too! I am excited about that. I want to be a better mom, play more, laugh more, relax and not be stressed about the little things. My sweet sister Tiffany gave me a book, “Don’t sweat the small stuff, and it’s all small stuff” She is right! It is and I need to acknowledge that more! I have my list , I won’t bore you with the rest! I love lists, LOVE them. I make a list every morning and every night, I mark things like get dressed… I love to check it off! When I see my list completed that day I am like YES!! Accomplished it all! So my list for today is: Get dressed, eat breakfast, feed children, meet mom at sams club at 11, finish basement shelves, organize food storage, put away laundry, make dinner, clean the tv room, fireplace room, kitchen and dining room. Play three games with kids, Make dinner, Make snacks for new years, countdown with kids, put kids to bed at 10, countdown with Mike and Emma, and finally sleep! Today will be busy and wonderful. At 9:58 we will pull out the noisemakers, the sparkling cider, the fancy plastic glasses, the pots and pans and countdown as a family! The kids will run outside and bang the pots and pans and yell for the new year. I will love every minute, as I remember all the new years spent with my family doing the same thing! Tomorrow is the polar bear plunge! People running into the lake Michigan! I will be taking pictures! Not running in! I hope as this New Year begins you are happy and hopeful. I hope you know I want the best for everyone I know, I want to make others happy and feel loved! What are your new goals this year???? I would love to hear them! I hope you have a wonderful day and I will see you NEXT YEAR!! See next year jokes are funny! It never gets old!! HAHA! Have a great day!
Huge hugs!
