Merry day after Christmas!! It is December 26. Christmas is over. I always get a little sad by that. The beautiful decorations will come down, the bell ringers are gone, the beautiful Christmas music is off the radio…. I will miss all that! I just wish it could stay all year! However, a new year is upon us! A good friend of mine has always encouraged others to set goals in September, not January. I agree with that, it is too cold to want to start running! Haha! That being said, there are some things I hope to accomplish this next year! I hope you will join me on the Journey! BUT for today I wanted to just share a few pictures from Christmas eve. A little back story, we do have stockings, I had taken them out and then put them away. I don’t hang them until Christmas eve. Well, it was time to get them up and guess what …. I can not find them anywhere! The kids are getting worried that Santa won’t leave any candy. I thought quickly what to do, I GOT IT!! Brown Lunch Bags!! I quick grabbed 9 bags and the crayons, and told the kids with excitement in my voice! We are doing something new! As Mike read the story, the kids colored their bags. You know what ? I loved it, I loved every minute of it. I will save the bags, the pictures show their sweet personalities of this year. Sometimes we can get caught up in what it is supposed to be like, the cookie cutter holiday traditions, but I think we should all just let that go. If someone came in, they make think it weird to have 9 lunch bags lined up in front of the fireplace, but I loved it! So let what it should be go! Enjoy your family! I hope you have wonderful day! See you tomorrow!!
Huge hugs,
Lara
