Happy Tuesday!! Tasty Tuesday it is! I have a super, yummy, EASY treat today! This is a pumpkin pie Dessert~ I made this last year for the first time for a party and everyone LOVED it! I admit at the time I was a little embarrassed that it used the whip cream that comes in a tub!! However, I have learned that it is ok to use tub whip cream in some instances! Not all folks! Never when you are eating whip cream alone, like on a pie, or on ice cream! Whip the cream people! Rant over…. ok, this is a very easy recipe. It will take about five minutes to make. It could take ten if you are doing it with a sweet little girl :) I assure you, make it with the little ones helping you. SO worth the extra few minutes. I made this for a church Halloween Trunk or Treat party. You can serve this for a crowd as a dip or you could also serve this in single servings, or deconstructed. You can crush the graham crackers and put them in the bottom of a wine glass with the dip on top and a small sprinkling of pumpkin pie spice. HAVE FUN WITH IT!
Recipe:
One can of pumpkin (15 oz)
one 16 tub of whip cream
5 oz of instant vanilla pudding ( its one and half little boxes)
1 1/2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice
graham crackers, or gingersnaps or chocolate graham crackers
Mix the pumpkin, vanilla pudding and pumpkin pie spice.
Mix well
Whip in cream, get rid of the lumps!! Let it cool in fridge for about an hour for best flavor!
Serve with graham crackers, cookies etc. Have fun!
To serve individual desserts, I would layer some crushed cookies/crackers in bottom of wine glass, or bowl.
Add about a 1/3 cup of pumpkin pie dip and garnish with a dallop of whip cream and some crushed cookies/crackers. It is really good and so pretty when served like this! I love to serve dessert to my family as pretty as possible. HELPFUL HINT: I went to the dollar store and bought 12 martini glasses. I use them all the time! They can make a dessert as simple as jello with whip cream look so lovely and really makes it feel special. They love it!
