Hi guys!! It is still cold out~ It is March and it has been cold for months now…. until yesterday. Yesterday was so lovely! The sun was out, the birds were singing, it felt like a lovely fall day. As, I was outside playing with the kids and I was thinking, wow this feels so great! It feels like fall” Guess, what came to my mind? Sitting outside around a roasting fire, and what comes to mind when you think of a fire? SMORES! Smores was on my mind now!
It was not a good time to have a fire! It was middle of the day, I had a bunch of kids running around and it was muddy… so no fire, but smores, I could make smores happen.
MAKE SMORES ANYTIME!
Just gather your necessary smore ingredients. Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars, graham crackers, and marshmallows.
I use my biggest cookie sheet, why? well cause I want to make a big ole batch! They are yummy and I may or may not have eaten three while preparing this blog post, I may have also helped Marsha finish her’s when she thought it was too big for her to finish….. not saying I did do all that……I just may have…
Okay, really simple just lay out crackers, perfect size for me is broken in half, add two pieces of chocolate to each cracker, and top with one large marshmallow. I get my graham crackers and marshmallows from ALDI, I love that store!
This is a great job for kids, they love to help!!
Move your oven rack to the highest in your oven and turn the oven to broil. I let it warm up for about two min.
Simply slide your pan in and watch it! DO NOT WALK AWAY!! Unless you love burned marshmallows like my mom, she literally lets them catch on fire, blows them out and eats them. If you like that, burn away!
If you want a nice brown, ooey gooey marshmallow, it will only be about a min or two. watch it! You may need to move the pan once, depending on how focused your broiler is.
Take them out and quickly add the tops to them! It can be a little messy, but that is okay, just lick your fingers!
I like to let them cool a bit, or you can be like my family and eat them right away!
I will make up a bunch and package them for school lunch treats! Who doesn’t love a smore! AND in the middle of the day… AT SCHOOL! Or send them with your hubby!
Do you see the massive pile of smores in the background, that is enough for two days… that is it! Goodness we have a big family! haha!
So don’t wait for the bonfires, or fall or any of that, go ahead, grab some graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate, and make some smores! Pull your family around the table, make a bunch and sit and be together! Talk, laugh, make some fun memories!
What’s your favorite smore memory? I would love to hear!! Comment below! and if you would like to see me live!! Go to periscope on your phone, download the app and look for me! my fabulous chaos! say hello! I would love to connect with you!

I love that, even without the fire, you made it a time to spend with the family.
I would love to do s’mores. I wish it was that easy for us to grab graham crackers and marshmallows, darn gluten and corn restrictions.
I am very happy to see you blogging again..
LaraM says
