Happy first day of summer vacation! I am so excited! SO excited for sun, no school and summer Love notes! This summer, I am changing things up a bit! AND I am so excited to share with you some of my summer love notes!
I want the kids to learn a lot this summer, from cooking and trying new foods, to budgeting… to being more kind and thoughtful of others.
So, as the official first day, we will have donuts for breakfast and a summer love note!
What is a summer love note you ask??? Well, it is just a little note on the children’s bed to let them know I love them and a little treat that doubles as an instant lesson or something catchy to help them remember the love note!
I saw peeps on sale at Wal-Mart this week, for 10 cents a package! 10 cents! I can afford that no problem! So I picked a bunch up and had to come up with a cute saying, so here it is!
You can print your own right here!
So cute and fun right? The kids loved them! I will be doing on each Monday to start the week with something fun and cute! I am really excited about it and I think the kids will look forward to it every week. Feel free to print one off for your sweet family! Although, it is more for the kids, I will be putting one on Mikes pillow also! If you don’t have peeps at your Wal-Mart for ten cents, you can find them online and at some fun candy shops!!
The thing I worry about Summer is it just gets rolled in to one long weekend and I don’t want that. I want the kids to have fun and play and eat a million Popsicle and have water balloon fights and catch fireflies, but I also want them to use this time to make better habits personally and as a family! I will keep you posted about our goals and how they are doing! I think as the weeks pass, the simple little love notes will be encouraging along the way!
On a side note, I have been gone from the blogging world it feels like forever and although that whole story is another post, I do want to say thank you for those who have asked if I will blog again, those who have been so supportive and encouraging and uplifting! It has meant the world to me and given me the strength to get back on the horse, and yes I still have the last two happiness tips! I have not forgotten… in fact it is mind-boggling how much that has bothered me to not have finished that. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!

I can’t wait to see how you keep summer from being one long weekend. That is my summer fear as well.
