Happy Happy Monday! I wanted to continue to share the summer love note series! I shared our first week HERE, The kids loved it and so did I. Today’s love note is ” “Donut” you know I love you?” Super easy and super simple!
I grabbed some donuts from Wal-Mart, they were only like 3.00 and they had a dozen in there! Now, granted they are not fabulous and super delicious but hey, my kids will think they are great! You could go fancy and a buy a single donut from the bakery, but at .69Cents a piece, I opted for the chipper, cheaper 12 pack for $3.00.
I created a picture on canva, I made two per sheet, if you only have one kid, make one for your hubby or a friend at work? They are just a lovely way to brighten some ones day!
I think summer is so fun and it is a challenge to keep it special. This is one way I do that!

I just put one on each child’s bed for them to find. In the summer, the kids rarely sleep in their own beds. That is probably terrible to some people, but I love that they want to all be together. I do have to admit… don’t love it so much when they all want to sleep in my bed……. can you say Crowded!
My kids were so excited to see Donuts!! Donuts are pretty special around here. We usually only have donuts on birthdays so they were pretty happy!
Yes that is a kitty, Mikey’s cat Fluffy, believe or not, that cat sleeps like this in Mikey’s arms almost every night.
Yay!! Emma is home! She was gone for two weeks with Girls Camp and EFY, so happy she is home!
Heston was the first to jump up and go check his bed! He was pretty happy!
Marsha could not eat them fast enough! What big eyes she has!
Super easy right? I would love to know if you do summer love notes and which ones you do, I have a few already picked out for this summer but I would love to hear of any cute ones you guys use!

Side note: I had such a wonderful lesson yesterday in Relief Society. It was all about how to delight in the Sabbath. It has given me some great ideas on how to make the Sabbath special in our home and I hope to share some ideas with you!…. eventually… still trying to get my blogging schedule back… after three weeks of kids being gone or Mike being gone, this is the first week that we are all here as a family….. so grateful to all be back home. Mike still has to work, but what a blessing to be home every night and be together. My heart is full.

Emma picked me a rose and I loved it, and then I just put it on the counter and she was like “hey I gave you this flower!’ after that every time I turned around she was handing it to me, even after it was all dead…. she is hilarious! She wanted me to carry it around all day I think~
