Happy, happy Saturday everyone! I hope you are enjoying your Saturday! The kids had off school yesterday, so I feel like I have a bonus Saturday! Whoo hooo! Yesterday I had the pleasure of a two day headache, so I did not get much done! Today, all is well! So lots to do!
I still wanted to share my five favorite things! I have a few things I can not wait to share with you! Some super recipes, poor mans mousse, bruschetta , Cajun chicken pasta…. just to name a few… those will be coming in the next few weeks! I also threw my sister a baby shower and I can not wait to do an entire post about that! It turned out so lovely and was so much fun! I also had our family trip to the dells, lots of pictures with that also! I am really excited to share these things with you, There are some fabulous tips on traveling with kids and throwing a party on a budget!
This week is an array of things! Although I always share my favorite things of the week, you must know there is always chaos too. This week was a doozy! Do you ever have those weeks where you feel stressed but can not really place your finger on the stress… you just feel it. That was me, that still is a little me! The way I have found best for me to deal with it is, I write it down, I pray a lot. I try to listen to good music, not loud dance music but hymns or classical. It just helps me feel calm in my core. The world can be swirling around me and although I am feeling stress. I also know in my heart things will be okay, it will work out. For the best, in the best time and the best way. I just need to keep being patient and doing my part! Okay enough blabbering!

Our trip~ I know it was last week but what an amazing week! Full of games, good food, hilarious memories and above all time with my family! We were so happy that Mikes sister Emily and her husband Mike and their three sweet kids drove all the way from Kansas to be there! It was so fun!!
My friend Stacey dropped off some cookies! These are gluten free and I believe corn free! THEY ARE YUMMY!! It was such a nice surprise! Stacey and I don’t get to hang out much but we are project runways buddies and talk about the show each week! It was so sweet of her and so appreciated!
I love this quote! Ashlee Smith, you remember from Ashlee.com , I did some babysitting for her and to say thank you she got me this! I LOVE IT! I love this saying! How true is it! There is always some good in any situation! We just have to look for it! Or if it is lemons, do the work and add the sweetness(our attitude) to make something wonderful (lemonade) Is that super deep or what…… I know I know, is an awesome comparison…..
MY DIAPER BOUQUET!! I made this for Katys shower, I have never made one before, nor could I find any instructions! I just saw a picture and thought I can do that! I loved the way it turned out! I even made her a little corsage to wear that matched! I just loved it! It is baby diapers and in the bottom of the vase is a bunch of candy! Would you guys like to see how it is made? Let me know! I can put a tutorial up!
And last but not least… this picture block. Tucker made this for scouts. He picked out the picture and mod podged it. I LOVE IT! This is my favorite picture and Tuckers favorite picture too. As a family, we refer to this picture a lot. I love it because Christ is waiting, and knocking but you have to let him in. If you look at the door, there is no handle. You have to let him in. I love seeing this everyday, reminds me to open the door. Have I said my prayers that day, read some scriptures? Been kind and patient? I want to always be welcoming him into my life. I asked Tucker why he loves this picture and he said, because I have to let him in, look there is no handle. Very simple answer and very true!
