Happy, happy Monday! Holy cow! What a crazy morning! Have you ever mixed up dates???? This is my morning! I had a super busy weekend and got lots of done! We even had the house cleaned on Saturday, however that was Saturday, by Sunday afternoon… the house is trashed ! Ha-ha! I think to myself, I know we cleaned it! Last night, I decided to not worry about it, we were having everyone help for a big family clean up when the kids got home from school………on Monday evening, I had a big appointment on Tuesday and I wanted the house to be super clean…….
I had on my schedule today a pto yearbook meeting, I texted my friend Brandi this morning to verify time and she informed me that I had the days mixed up, our meeting was tomorrow. Okay I think, I have another day to really get the house cleaned! YAY!! I was cleaning up the kitchen and going through the mail and I see my energy audit letter. I knew they were coming on Tuesday at nine am, but a little voice told me to just open it, I questioned it for a millisecond and then opened it, there staring at me in big letters is MONDAY AT NINE AM!! Mind you it is 7:45am, my house is in shambles from our early morning school rush, cereal bowls are out, the house was still a bit messy from the night before, kids beds weren’t made, laundry is on the couch waiting to be folded, laundry is piled in front of the washing machine waiting to be washed! The list goes on! I literally yelled “NOOOOOO!” I have an hour and 15 minutes to make my house presentable! AUGHHHH!!
So here is my list of must dos when people are coming to your house and you have an hour!
*make every bed, I don’t care what the rest of the room looks like, every room looks a million times better with the bed made,
*clear off all the counters and wipe them down. I don’t care if there are dishes in the sink but only in the sink.
*Vacuum, vacuum every where!
*Close all the closet doors, even if they are the most organized thing in the room, close the doors. Mine are organized but closed just looked better.
*I quick put clothes away, and ones that I did not have time to really do, went in a laundry basket in the room. It still looks better than on the floor!
*Quick wipe down the mirrors and counters in the bathrooms, and empty the garbage!
*Have some yummy smells going on, I threw in a new smelly wax thing on the warmer, if you don’t have one of those wax warmers…. GET ONE! Those are one of my favorite gifts to give…. hey if the house smells nice, it must look nice too right???

*And finally, I quick did my hair in a simple braid and threw on lip-gloss, some eyeliner and blush….
Guess what, 9:01am, he showed up! I will tell you I was in the middle of throwing on some real clothes, I was still in pjs at that point! But hey, he had to wait a minute!
I answered the door with a smile and there you go!
I will have a less stressful morning now, although I will be cleaning everything still…… I now know that little voice was the Holy Ghost warning me! Oh my word, if I had not opened that letter! Too scary to think about! Ha! Ha! I will be cleaning all those baskets of toys, laundry and everything else! Well I hope you have a great day! I will have a super post about potatoes tomorrow! -My family at church, I know I share that a lot but I am so thankful for it, yesterday, Lucy sat with my brother Tony and his family and she loved it!

-I got to drive to church with Mike yesterday! We always have to take two cars, we don’t fit in just one, Yesterday morning my van would not start…. but silver lining! I got to drive with Mike and we split the other kids with grandma and grandpa!
-Movie Theater popcorn! YUMMY!!!!!
When I was trying to sell my house and had last minute showings: all dirty laundry goes in the dryer, trust me it fits tons! And bag up all dirty dishes and throw under sink! High five on listening to the Holy Ghost!
