Hi all! Tip #2 for the Choose Happiness Series! I am really excited to share this tip, it really is so simple and so easy! Eat Breakfast!
Life is so busy and so many times the mornings can be the busiest time, the most stressful. Kids to get to school, or the babysitter, parents that need to get to work… it can be chaos. You are trying to remember everything you need for that day, trying to make sure kids all look presentable, you look presentable…. it is a busy time.
I have found that in the past I would make sure the kids ate breakfast, I did not want them going to school with a hungry tummy. I would then clean up and before I realized it, it was almost lunch time and I still had not eaten!
Which made me crabby and irritable. No one wants a crabby and irritable mommy, NO ONE!
I knew I needed to change that, so I decided I would make sure I ate breakfast. Something in the morning within the first 30 min of waking up.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!
It made a huge difference! I was much less crabby, short tempered and I had more energy. I know some will say they don’t need breakfast, just coffee or nothing at all. I challenge you to eat breakfast for a week and see if you feel any different.
Now I know it can be hard to find time to eat, I personally do a few things. If I am in a huge rush, I will quick fry an egg, with the yolk popped and eat it with my hand. Hey that may sound weird but I am just keeping it real! Ha Ha! That happens on really busy days, otherwise Yogurt Parfaits are super easy, I will make a big one, put it one the counter and eat a few bites at a time. I also make Breakfast Burritos and I can eat them while running around the house too.
Granted there are those wonderful days when we are all sitting as a family for breakfast, I love those days and sometimes it happens during the week and sometimes it doesn’t.
Breakfast can be easy right? That is something that can be simple to do, not much time to do it and it can make a really big difference!
So I challenge you to try it! I would love to hear if you notice a difference. Don’t forget to check in next Tuesday for Tip #3!
Thank you! Thank you for popping in! I hope your day is filled with joy! I am on Spring Break with the kids, I am sharing one of my favorite must haves for traveling with kids tomorrow! Hope to see you there!
