Happy, happy Thursday! I am back! I totally missed yesterday, thank you to those of you who reached out to see if all was well. The kids have been so sick with coughs and fevers. Marsha had double ear infections a few days ago and then Charli got sick and she has double ear infections , and then the boys got sick and Emma and it finally hit me! NOOOOO!! So yesterday, I was not feeling great at all. I decided to just rest and sneeze all day! I am feeling much better! Hopefully, Lucy and Mikey stay healthy! Out of our family of nine, they are the only two to not get sick!
I was so excited to share my valentine’s day card with you! In my mind, I had the kids making them all together and I would take some fun pictures! It was going to be fabulous! The kids would love it, you would love it! Well, did not happen! With everyone not feeling well, it just did not happen! However! I promised a valentine and a valentine you will get!
I am still going to have the kids make them, I will still share pictures! Today will be the basics though!
I love Valentines! I grew up with 10 brothers and sisters, there are seven girls and four boys! I remember every Valentines Day, my dad would get each of us girls a flower. Our own flower! It was very special to me! I loved it and to this day I still do Valentines for my kids and make sure Mike gets the girls flowers. I think Valentines is a great day to just say I love you! Even if you say it all the time, say it again, and say it in an extra special way. This year, I am giving each of the kids and Mike a valentine each day starting February 1st this year, I will share them with you the day before so if you want to do it along with me for your special someone…… join in!
Okay so for today, this valentine is one that I have done for years with the kids. I am not a fan of the pre fab valentines. Ever since Emma started school 9 yrs ago! Every Valentine was homemade! I would have her write them out on colored card stock and we would work on them together, I loved it and love the time we had.
This valentine is fun because they get a bracelet! A cool glowing bracelet! One that they can put on right away! You can get them at Target for 15 for a $1.00 or the dollar store only 7 for a $1.00. Print up the pdf file I am attaching here! and have the children just write their names on it! Super easy and super fun! Make sure you make one for your child to have! You don’t want them to be the only one with a glowing bracelet for the day!
Print the file on card stock! Grab some glow bracelets, remember Target 15 for a $1.00 and dollar store 7 for $1.00. Not bad for a cool valentine!
Use a hole punch and pop out two holes! Super easy!
valentine for blog ! Print this for the valentines!
Have them write their name on it before you put the bracelet through it! And you are done!! LOVE IT!
Few things to remember ! Print them on card stock, otherwise the paper bends too easily and be very careful with putting the bracelets in. Put them in straight like the picture, after you have written the names on them. Part of the fun is snapping them to glow!
Hope you enjoyed it! I have other Valentines Day stuff that will be coming up! Have a happy day!
HUGE HUGS,
Lara
